Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate within a small, focused working group, building a structured threat assessment process and steering the development of a supporting threat assessment tool.
- Collaborate with AI and software developers, defining and directing technical features and implementation of a threat assessment tool.
- Develop, review, and assess T&E strategies, test plans, test objectives, requirements, procedures, evaluation criteria, and test reports for complex space, ground, command-and-control, and mission systems.
- Support Developmental T&E (DT&E), integrated testing, enterprise testing, and mission-level assessments.
- Incorporate adversary threats, vulnerabilities, and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) into test planning and evaluation.
- Analyze test results and technical data to determine whether systems or Systems of Systems meet technical, operational, interoperability, resilience, and mission requirements.
- Identify gaps in test coverage, environments, resources, threat representation, instrumentation, and evaluation methodology and recommend approaches to close those gaps.
- Support enterprise and end-to-end mission testing, including mission-thread, kill-chain, system-of-systems, and integrated assessments.
- Provide technical assessments and recommendations to Government engineering, acquisition, test, and program leadership.
Required Qualifications

- Familiarity with cyber/threat frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, D3FEND, CVE/CWE, SPARTA, or comparable resources.
- Familiarity with DoD test planning, deficiency reporting, test-management, modeling and simulation, or digital engineering environments.
The Opportunity
This position is well suited for an experienced T&E professional who wants to work beyond individual system testing and address enterprise-level mission performance and risk. The engineer will help connect system performance, vulnerabilities, adversary threats, test results, and deficiencies to the larger question of whether integrated capabilities can successfully accomplish the mission. Collaborate within a high-impact, agile working group to design and execute a comprehensive threat assessment process and analytical tool, proactively identifying emerging threats, evaluating their potential impacts on critical systems, operational kill chains, and overall mission success to deliver actionable insights to program managers and leadership.
